Checkmate #30 Amp is round, with three chromed legs.
Ten inch speaker is mounted facing up, near top of round enclosure.
Sound is projected into a reverse horn structure, (acoustic lense?)
See yellow thing, in photo, which is then covered with a flat (round) surface!
This "top of the piece", can function as a table top or a small human can sit
on it. May well have been conceived to fit in with furniture at your "cool
coffee house gigs"! Something like that…
The enclosure is covered with fake, wood-like veneer. And it has tremolo,
plus speaker line, out. Only other "sighting": we saw one on cover of old
record by "Gabor Zabo"(sp).
Amp works, exterior in decent condition, "used, not damaged". May be only design like this, ever! Hopefully collector/gear nut (like us) will adopt this extremely rare, and bizarre treasure. Deserves a good home.
