The Ron Sound Stone Machine
Welcome visitor: When we first undertook the frenzied tone experiment, we considereded that featuring limited production designer/builders, might attract unexpected neat people, and gear: Well, look no farther. It's been a real pleasure testing this RonSound prototype of the "Stone Machine", RonSound's take on the Foxx, "Tone Machine". Older players, and collectors will quickly recognize the same general shape, and set-up. The Stone Machine has knobs that allow you to control Volume, Sustain, Octave on/off, and Tone.

Ron Neely II has captured the range of sounds from the Foxx pedal, and combined the fat distortion, and bouncing bottom, equally with its rasp & rip, in a perfectly integrated, gigantic sound with an edge. If there is anything this pedal could want for, we can't imagine it. Sample one, below, features a heavily saturated, Stone Machine at modest volume, being played through a single 12 inch Speaker box: Smokin' brother! This ballanced, and massive sound makes the single "Greenback", sound like at least two speakers are happening, but that's not the case. Sample two shows, the pedal after it's turned down a little, for contrast. Sample three is the Octave, (UP), feature for your listening pleasure.

Let's go out on a limb here: Don't worry if you can't find a vintage Foxx pedal at a reasonable price. Get on the horn to Ron Neely II, at RonSound, and snag one of his Stone Machines. You'll be getting a MONSTER pedal at less than half of what the vintage effect is likely to cost. Step right up folks, and listen for yourself: You don't have to buy those little effects at the music store, that everyone else has. Consider treating yourself to a handmade ass-kicker, for just a few bucks more than the "good enough" pedals at Guitar Factory. Check it out... RonSound link
